There's a new team in town.

Meet Grand Rapids' newest basketball team, the Grand Rapids Cyclones.

The Cyclones are set to begin their first season on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the DeltaPlex Arena.

The Cyclones will compete against teams from Battle Creek, Buffalo, Lansing, Chicago, St. Louis and more.

“It makes perfect sense for Grand Rapids to have a pro team,” said Adam Chrisco, owner of the Grand Rapids Cyclones. “The team will be closely tied to the community and the athletes and front office staff will all be from right here in the mitten.”
