Lately when we have mentioned hot air it had to do with 90 degree temperatures, but this weekend it will be all about hot air balloons.

According to WOOD TV, weather permitting, the skies will be filled with hot air balloons in Hudsonville, Michigan, for the Grand Rapids Balloon Festival.

The balloon festival will go on at the Hudsonville Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds address is 5235 Park Avenue right near the intersection of 40th Avenue and Chicago Drive.

Friday the festival begins at 5 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. Saturday the festivities kicks off at 1 p.m. and wraps up at 9 p.m. The event only costs $5 per person 2 years of age or older. For a full run down of activities click here.

Organizers of the event say weather could be an issue this weekend so all activities and events are weather permitting.

All the proceeds from the Grand Rapids Balloon Festival will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and West Michigan Veterans Coalition.
