Getting Ready for GRD’s Pond Hockey Classic Watching Great Hockey Movies

GRD's Pond Hockey Classic is only a couple weekends away, January 23-25th, at Richmond Hills Park. If you're not signed up yet, get your team signed up now, and come out and have some fun with us that weekend, as we search for the Ultimate Pond Hockey Champions!

We're getting ourselves into the hockey frame of mind by watching movies with hockey in them, and you can't talk hockey movies without looking at 1977's Slap Shot!

We are glad there aren't any pre-game brawls at Pond Hockey, but they're fun to watch on  film.

My favorite part is when he yells, "I'm listening to the f****** song!" at the ref.

Well, that, and the cheap shot punch that starts the entire fight.
