Gerald R. Ford International Airport Named No. 1 in North America

With spring break coming up, it's good to know we've got an awesome, award winning airport here in Grand Rapids!

The Gerald R. Ford International Airport has been ranked No. 1 in North America in the Airport Council International's 2015 Airport Service Quality Awards.

WZZM-13 reports that the Grand Rapids airport won first place for it's size and region, and tied for second place when compared with all North American airports that serve at least 2-million passengers per year.

The  Airport Service Quality Awards measure passengers' satisfaction while traveling through an airport. They assess the customer service experience, parking, check-in, food facilities and more.

ASQ conducted in-depth passenger surveys at more than 300 airports across the world.
