Gearing Up For BaCon 2015: Knob Hill Market is Bringing the Brats! [Video]

This Saturday, BaCon hits the Deltaplex, celebrating two of the best substances on earth: bacon and beer!

Gearing up for the bacon celebration, Knob Hill Market stopped by GRD with all of the meat! Owner Jessica Mercante talked with me about Knob Hill's 2015 BaCon entry.

Knob Hill offers an awesome service: They'll deliver meat to your house! Yeah yeah, insert dirty joke here ;) But for real, how cool is that that they will bring all different kinds of fresh meat right to your door?!

Knob Hill Meats are one of the oldest butcher shops in the county, serving Michigan since 1924!

Jessica currently works from her Uncle's shop at the Davison Farmer's Market and brings deliveries West Michigan, where she's looking to set up a location.

She says,

I'm going back to the old days, where you know your butcher, you know your meat, and you get home delivery."

Jessica shared with us samples of a bunch of different things:

• 50/50 burgers which are half beef and half bacon with two kinds of cheeses
• Classic hardwood smoked bacon
• Breakfast sausage, a recipe Jessica's great-grandfather created that started it all
• Mushroom burgers
• Kafta burgers, which area middle-eastern hamburger made half lamb and half beef
