Survival horror games have been one of my favorite genre of games forever! Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Splatterhouse, blood, guts...I love that stuff in games. Survival horror games were at the peak of popularity in the late 90's and early 2000's, so every game developer was trying to cash in on the freak show of games. Then Illbleed came around, and was quickly forgotten.

What: Illbleed is a survival horror game released for Dreamcast in 2001. You play as Eriko Christy, and you and a group of people are invited to the theme park, "Illbleed." The thing about Illbleed is, is that it is filled with traps that can KILL YOU! If you make it through the park alive, you will be awarded $100,000!

Why: It is a very unique game. You must pay attention to your four senses (Sight, Hearing, Smell, and Sixth Sense), if one of those alarms start to go crazy, you must try to avoid those hazards or suffer the consequences. You also need to pay attention to your heart rate, because if you are bleeding, your heart rate speeds the blood flow, thus losing more blood....

OK, GOT ALL OF THAT?!?

Put all those things together and prepare to feel....alone. To get the full effect of this game, play in the dark. It might be a lot to take in, but this game is a lot of fun. Good control, effectively frightening, and the the Four Sense meters are something that is extremely unique. One thing though, good luck with this game....getting through the first boss if the definition of difficult...I still have yet to beat it...SINCE 2001!!! Someday....when I get patience....

Have fun finding this game, last one I found was going for 40 bucks on eBay, and they have never re-made it, so grab your Dreamcast and prepare to DIE!!!!! A lot....
