Let's start of the new "Games to try before you die" with the game that started pretty much everything in modern gaming, The Legend of Zelda.

What: The Legend of Zelda is a adventure game for the NES. It was released in 1987 and is considered by many as "The Greatest Game of All Time." You play Link, a small forest boy roaming the land of Hyrule to save the Princess Zelda from the evil Ganon! Simple enough.

Why: This game is huge! Especially for a small 8-bit game. If you like exploring, finding treasure, upgrading swords, puzzle solving, and wearing green tunics. Then this is seriously, the first game you should ever play in your life. It is fun, challenging, and not meant to be played in one sitting. Consider this, it is the game "That started it all."

In short, The Legend of Zelda was the first. It inspired games like, World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls, Grand Theft Auto, Final Fantasy, etc. So, homage to ZELDA!

Stay tuned next week for the next "Game to try before you die!"
