A 16-year-old boy survived a five-and-a-half hour plane ride Sunday from San Jose, Calif., to Maui, Hawaii, in the wheel well of a plane.

With the high altitude, the teen experienced temperatures as low as minus 50 degrees and a lack of oxygen.

An FBI agent told The Associated Press: "Kid's lucky to be alive. He was unconscious for the lion's share of the flight. ... Doesn't even remember the flight. ... It's amazing he survived that."

The teenager will not face any charges.
