Remember when the early days of skiing was simply skiing?

People strapped on skis and went down a mountain. Then, they went back to the top of the mountain and did it all again. Over and over.

Ah, the good 'ol days!

But nowadays, that's boring.

This guy, a skier in Washington state, made what he referred to as a "valid attempt at a backflip over the Mount Baker highway."

Valid attempt? Yes.

Unfortunately, it wasn't executed perfectly and he ended up taking a mountain of snow to the face. IN THE FAAAAACE!
