Two judges on the The X Factor NZ in New Zealand were fired this week for mean comments they made to a contestant on Sunday.

Natalia Kills and Willy Moon, both pop stars in New Zealand, are also married.

Kills got angry because the guy dressed up like Moon for his audition, even though his look is pretty generic.

Basically, all the contestant did was comb his hair the same way and wear a suit.

However, for some reason, Kills was outraged and called it "disgusting." Then Moon said it was like something a serial killer would do.

Huh?

It's also worth mentioning the show's host was dressed the exact same way -- and no one mentioned it.

MediaWorks, the company that owns TV3, the channel that The X Factor NZ airs on in New Zealand, released the following statement:

Last night on X Factor , both Kills and Moon made comments that were completely unacceptable.

While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges

Contestants put their all into this competition and they should expect to receive feedback and criticism that is professional and constructive. We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of X Factor judges and they will leave the show, effective immediately."
