In April, 70-year-old security guard John Resetar was stabbed while breaking up a fight in the halls of Franklin Regional Senior High School near Pittsburgh.

Alex Hribal, then a 16-year-old sophomore, went on a rampage and is accused of stabbing about 20 people at the Murrysville, Pa., school.

Even after being stabbed, Resetar and an assistant principal were able to tackle Hribal, get the knife out of his hands and subdue him.

Just weeks after the incident, Resetar was back to work.

But a few weeks ago, that all changed when he got a letter in the mail from his employer, Capital Asset Protection, saying that his services were no longer needed, KDKA CBS 2 Pittsburgh reported. That seems a bit unfair, right?
