A little girl from Canada got a happy surprise after she thought she’d lost her favorite stuffed animal for good.

Ava Stang and her family went on a vacation to California and didn’t realize until they returned home to Alberta that her stuffed unicorn didn’t make the last leg of the journey with them.

The little girl's fluffy companion was eventually returned to her, Global News Edmonton reported.

But that’s not all!

She was also given a photo album which the staff created, taking pictures of Ava’s unicorn making new friends, answering phone calls and relaxing at the Days Inn in Leduc, Alberta, near Edmonton where they stayed at en route home.

Ava loved that she got to see what her fuzzy friend was up to while she was away. Her mother was so grateful she sent a similar photo album back to the hotel with pictures of Ava and the unicorn finally being reunited, and a big thank you to the entire staff for making a situation that was so upsetting into something fun.

We can all rest a little easier knowing this bug-eyed, no-name, stuffed unicorn made it back to its human. Take a look at the pictures and smile with the knowledge not everyone out there is a jerk.
