Students at Muscle Shoals High School in Alabama who are out of compliance with the student handbook's dress code will not be allowed to attend classes and will receive an unexcused absence.

That seems pretty legit right?

Well, in this instance, it seems like they may be going a little overboard with that rule.

A 16-year-old, Hayleigh Black, dyed her hair red. Apparently the red was too red and distracting to others, and that led to her being sent home and given an unexcused absence.

So, she got an attorney involved, WAFF-TV reported.

That's right, an attorney is trying to get the absence taken off her record in order to keep it from interfering with future exam exemptions and other school-related issues. All in all, this story seems pretty ludicrous.
