Free Beer & Hot Wings: Dave Chappelle Opens Up About Why He Walked Away from His Comedy Central Show [Video]

From 2003 to 2006, Dave Chappelle‘s show on Comedy Central was an absolute hit.

It was a sketch comedy show featuring Chappelle, as well as many other comedians and guest stars. Then, while shooting the third season, Chappelle abruptly left the show and pretty much disappeared from the public eye.

Only recently has he reemerged, doing some shows and announcing a comedy tour.

Chappelle appeared on CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” on Tuesday night and, after many years, finally opened up about why he left his show.
