Rock fans should get excited about this piece of news. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Slipknot ringleader Corey Taylor have teamed up on a song together.

Taylor revealed the news on his Twitter page, stating that he collaborated with Grohl and Nirvana producer Bitch Vig. It seems like the Stone Sour frontman has accomplished a life-long goal.

It was not specified whether the song was for a Dave Grohl project or something up Corey Taylor's sleeve, but NME speculates it's leaning towards the former. Grohl recently got together with 80's metal band RATT for a song to be featured on the former Nirvana drummer's untitled project.

Foo Fighters released their seventh studio album Wasting Light last April, which has been nominated for six Grammy Awards. The ceremony will air Sunday, February 12, on CBS. Corey Taylor and other members of Slipknot have hinted at a new studio album, which would be the first since the death of bassist Paul Gray in 2010.
