Floating Water Parks Opening at Three Michigan State Parks
Floating water parks are coming to three Michigan state parks this summer!

That homemade tarp-on-the-lawn slide in your yard is still good for some fun, but these new floating water parks look like a great way to spend a summer day.
The Michigan DNR says the obstacles you'll find at all three parks vary. Some of the things you'll find include inflatable slides, runways, jumping pillows and bouncers. Both kids and adults may participate, but some obstacles may have age and height restrictions. There is also an additional fee. Reservations are recommended.
All three parks will open starting Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 25.
Here's where you can find the water parks and what to expect:
Water Warrior Island is located on Lake Michigamme in Marquette County. It includes 20-foot water slides, rock climbing walls, trampolines, floating walkways and a ninja-warrior-like obstacle course.
Jump Island situated on Bishop Lake in Livingston County. It includes an inflatable iceberg, inflatable slides, runways and other obstacles for balancing, walking, running or sliding on water.

The WhoaZone on Heron Beach is located in Oakland County. It includes four different routes/levels from easy to more challenging. Obstacles involve climbing, jumping, crawling and sliding on a gigantic springboard, semi-circle step, wiggle bridge, half-pipe and more.
