The classic '90s platformer, Flashback, is being re-imagined and making the leap to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The original game was dubbed a "cinematic platformer," in the same vein as games like Prince of Persia. Players took on the role of Conrad B. Hart, a man whose memories were erased, as he battles aliens across space. He could run, jump, climb, use guns, activate shields, and carry around force fields in order to successfully traverse the side-scrolling levels in the game.

This re-imagining takes everything that made the original such a classic and uses modern technology to dress everything up and give us excellent graphics to complement the timeless gameplay.

Just watch the trailer below to see how Conrad's adventures have been updated and let us know if you'll be jumping into the sci-fi escapades when the game is released for Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

No official release date has been set, but we'll let you know as soon as more information becomes available.
