The case was discovered in Washtenaw County. A person got sick after travelling internationally and was hospitalized.

The person is now recovering, but was considered contagious when they entered the state.

Anyone in customs or baggage claim in Detroit Metropolitan Airport's north terminal between 2 and 5p.m March 6 should get medical attention if they develop symptoms of measles.

 

 

Symptoms include:

  • rash lasting 3 or more days
  • temperature of 101 degrees F or higher
  • cough, coryza (inflammation of the mucous membrane in the nose), and/or conjunctivitis (inflamed eyes)
