Filter has signed with Wind-up Records and is planning to release a new album in May with the lead single expected to be released in March. Filter, from Cleveland, Ohio, emerged on the national rock scene with their 1995 debut album Short Bus featuring the single "Hey Man Nice Shot." In 1999, the band followed up their debut with the release of Title of Record featuring the hit "Take a Picture." Filter has released three albums since with the new one being their 6th studio effort. The new album is called Gurney and the Burning Books.

“We're excited to enter a new phase of our career with Wind-up. They're expecting great things from us and we plan to deliver.” - Filter frontman Richard Patrick

Filter's last single (released in 2011) was a cover of ZZ Top's "Gimme All Your Lovin'" from the album ZZ Top: A Tribute from Friends.
