FBI Searching for Idiot Who Wrapped Bacon Around Mosque Door Handles [Video]

On Sunday, December 27, a man reportedly approached the entrance of a mosque in Las Vegas, but instead of trying to enter, he wrapped bacon around the door handles.

The man in the video, who has not yet been found or identified, is seen wrapping strips of uncooked bacon around the door handles and even popping a strip of raw bacon into his mouth while he worked (which is a great way to get horrible diseases, but I digress). Because this was an act of vandalism at a church, the FBI are treating this as a possible hate crime. This isn't uncommon procedure, considering the FBI took a similar stance on three spray-painted churches in Nevada and California.

However, the most notable details of this incident is that pork isn't like Kryptonite to Muslims. According to Jezebel, "Muslims don’t touch or eat bacon; a member of the mosque reportedly removed the pork with a napkin before calling police."

The members of the mosque also seem unfazed. The Las Vegas Sun reports, “'To us, it’s not as offensive as he might think,' said Fayyaz Raja, the vice president of the Islamic Association of Las Vegas at Masjid Tawheed. 'According to our religion, yes, we can’t touch it, we can’t eat it. That I understand. But to me, it’s comical.'”
