Happy 47th birthday, Dave Grohl! The Foo Fighters mainman and former Nirvana drummer might need more than one breath to blow out all of his candles, which will be especially challenging when his breath is taken away by the video above. Showcasing the far-reaching influence of Nirvana's music, a group of Ethiopian students came together with a special gift to wish the legend a happy birthday.

A video tribute has been compiled of the students singing the immortal Nirvana hit "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Beginning the song, kids mouth the famed guitar lick before the hard-hitting anthem comes in. Clips span from different sets of students each getting the opportunity to sing a line from the song as they jump around with exuberant spirits.

As the song closes with the students screaming "a denial!" in the classroom, the camera pans to the blackboard, which displays "I'm so happy, 'cause today I found my friends," which is a line from the Nirvana song "Lithium." Cutting to the final scene, a kid in orange walks away from the board having just finished writing the parting message, "Happy birthday Dave!" with the squiggly-mouthed an x-eyes happy face that has become synonymous with Nirvana's name.

While these kids paid their tribute to Grohl, the birthday boy recently paid a tribute of his own. Following the death of Motorhead leader Lemmy Kilmister, Grohl immortalized the icon on his flesh by getting an "Ace of Spades" tattoo on his forearm.
