Research website, Niche, has conducted a new study to determine the top cities to live in Michigan.

East Grand Rapids is the only West Michigan city to make the Top Ten.

East Grand Rapids came in at No. 3, while Ann Arbor nabbed No. 1.

Most of the top ranking cities fall in Oakland, Washtenaw, and Ingham Counties.

According to Niche, they determined the ranking by grading each city on factors like location, the quality of schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics, and access to amenities.

Among other grades, East Grand Rapids scored an A+ in Education, a B+ in real estate, an A in Nightlife, a B- in Diversity, and a C+ in cost of living.

Overall, Forest Hills came in at No. 12, Ada Township at No. 13, Holland at No. 36, Grand Rapids at No. 81, Jenison ranked No. 112, and Wyoming came in at No. 134.
