Dozens up puppies will soon be up for adoption at Lake Haven Animal Rescue in Newaygo County.

The 33 pups recently arrived at Lake Haven, transferred from a shelter in Alabama that closed from lack of funds, Fox 17 reports.

Lake Haven Animal Rescue director Cheryl McCloud told Fox 17,

"These puppies actually came out of a county shelter that was closed due to horrendous conditions, and when they close the county shelter in the South that's pretty bad."

Once the shelter works through the issues facing the puppies, they'll be ready for adoption in a few weeks.

If you are interested in adopting, more information can be found at Lake Haven’s website.
