Did I mention its for an entire month?!

You could spend a whole month in Perugia, Italy learning Italian for FREE. So what's the catch? No catch! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is being offered to Kent County residents through a scholarship provided by the Grand Rapids Sister Cities International (GRSCI) program.

Grand Rapids has a total of five Sister Cities, around the world, and Perugia is one of them.

The winner of the scholarship will spend one (intense) month learning and studying the Italian language and culture at the University of Foreigners in Perugia. Not only will tuition be covered but a living stipend and an additional $2,000 will be rewarded to help with travel and living expenses.

For the first time EVER, this scholarship is not only being offered to students but to anyone who lives in Kent County. The website states that age and status does NOT matter!

If interested, you must submit an application, resume, cover letter and two letters of recommendations.

Two winners will be chosen and the deadline to apply is March 15, 2017.

Perugia is in central Italy, about two hours north of Rome. If you want the opportunity to live in Italy, now is your chance and you can get more info here.
