Along with new players Marvin Jones and Anthony Zettel, the Detroit Lions will have more fresh faces on the field this season: Cheerleaders.

Previously one of six NFL teams without them, the Detroit Lions announced today that cheerleaders will debut this season.

The team will be coached by Rebecca Girard-Smoker.

Detroit Lions Team President Rod Wood said in a release,

“The Ford Family is unwavering in their commitment to improving the Detroit Lions fan experience on and off the field. After thorough consideration and receiving input from our fans through season ticket member surveys and focus groups, we believe that this is an opportunity to elevate our game day entertainment.”

Auditions for the 2016 Detroit Lions Cheerleaders will start June 25 at Ford Field. Pre-registration is required, details here.
