Last night (Jan. 29) on the 'Late Show With David Letterman,' the soon-to-be retired talk show host had Death Cab for Cutie on his stage to perform their latest song, 'Black Sun,' for the studio audience. You can watch the performance below.

The lead single appears on the band's upcoming album 'Kintsugi,' due out March 31 via Atlantic Records. So far, it has been the only single we've been able to hear, unless you've seen them live or have been catching some of the recent news clips, in which case you've probably heard 'No Room in Frame' and 'The Ghost of Beverly Drive.' The band's new lineup consists of original founding members Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer and Jason McGerr, plus new members Dave Depper and Zac Rae to replace Chris Walla, who recently left the band.

Death Cab will soon head out on an extensive North American Tour in support of the album, the dates of which -- as well as a studio version of 'Black Sun' -- can be found on their website.

As you wait for Gibbard and company to roll through your town, enjoy their 'Letterman' performance below:
