The Washington Post is reporting that, on Saturday (Nov. 3), Dave Matthews will appear with President Barack Obama and former president Bill Clinton at a rally. The event will take place at 7:00PM at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Va., 40 miles outside Washington, D.C.

“I disagree with him on a lot," Matthews said of Obama last month, although he will presumably look for more uplifting words to share about the President on Saturday. He continued: "But we all should disagree with each other in some ways. I think the alternative is terrible and I don’t believe in trickle down economics at all.”

Matthews has often given his time to campaign for Democratic candidates. He performed at several concerts on behalf of Obama's campaign in 2008 and participated in the Vote for Change tour in 2004.

Virginia has become a major battleground state during this presidential election, and both President Obama and Governor Mitt Romney are heavily concentrating their efforts in the Old Dominion as it winds down. Matthews spent much of his life in Charlottesville, Va.

Matthews' fall 2012 tour in support of his new album, 'Away From the World,' will begin on Nov. 30 in E. Rutherford, N.J. and continue through Dec. 22.
