Firstly, can Dave Grohl get any more awesome?

Proving yet again how devoted he his to Foo Fighters' fans, Grohl fell off the stage and broke his leg two songs into the band's concert in Gothenburg, Sweden on Friday, June 12, then returned within the hour to finish the show.

Unfortunately the injuries he sustained are forcing the Foos to cancel two upcoming concerts.

Blabbermouth reports that the full extent of of Grohl's injuries are still being determined, but that it's been confirmed he's got at least one fracture.

At this point, Foo Fighters have been forced to cancel their June 14 show at the Pinkpop festival and their June 16 show at the AFG Arena in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

The Foos kick off their North American tour July 4th in DC-- no word yet on if any U.S. shows will be affected by Grohl's injuries.

Get well soon, Dave!

Any guy who breaks his leg then gets right back on stage, cast and all, and finishes the show deserves our well-wishes! (Knowing Grohl, I'm sure he'll find a way to make up for the cancelled shows, too.)

Consequence of Sound reports that right after the fall, Grohl got on the mic and let the crowd know what was going on (watch in the video above),

“I think I just broke my leg again. I think I REALLY broke my leg. So look, you have my promise, right now, that the Foo Fighters are gonna come back and finish this show. But ladies and gentlemen, right now, I’m going to the hospital, I’m going to fix my leg, and then I’m going to come back, and we’re going to play for you again!”

While Grohl got medical attention, the rest of the Foo Fighters stayed on stage, playing cover songs sung by drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Then to his word, Grohl returned to the stage with crutches, his leg wrapped in a cast.  He proclaimed,

“I may not be able to walk or run but I can still play guitar and scream!"

Bad. Ass.
