Crobot will be releasing their latest slab of feel-good rock 'n' roll, Welcome to Fat City, later this month. With the single "Not for Sale" already out, among others, the band have kept the momentum rolling with the wah pedal drenched, groove-laden "Play it Cool" as heard in the video above.

The song opens up with a scratchy, bluesy guitar lick with a heavy emphasis on the wah pedal, backed by head-nodding drum beat that drives the southern flare with the use of the cowbell. A brief rest follows with an isolated guitar spot before the rest of the band comes crashing in. The verse entertains a mid-tempo pace with a nervous energy as Brandon Yeagley's gleaming pipes and soulful delivery guide the track before the explosive chorus.

Speaking about the song, the frontman told Crave (who premiered the track), "This slinky, slimy track tells the tale of global destruction, but what are you going to do when the big blue blanket falls from the sky? Panic? Aww nahw! Turn this up and cut a little rug. It's all a roll of the dice and probability ain't on our side! If you thought we couldn't get any funkier, you'd be a fool with cowbell 'n all here's 'Play It Cool!'"

Welcome to Fat City will hit shelves and webstores on Sept 23. through Wind-Up Records. Pre-order the album at Amazon or digitally through iTunes. Crobot recently wrapped up an August tour supporting hard rock veterans Sevendust and will head back out on the road with the icons again from Sept. 10 through Oct. 3.
