The new owners of a small bar in Conklin, Michigan are bringing back a St. Patrick's Day tradition that began in 1988.

The Wearing of the Green parade will return to Conklin on St. Patrick's Day.

The owners of Fenian's Irish Pub founded the Wearing of the Green parade in 1988. It is said to be the world's shortest St. Patrick's Day parade. Hundreds attend but never seem to make it past the bar which is only a few hundred feet after the start of the parade.

Fenian's was named one of the "most authentic Irish pubs in America" in 2014.

Today, Fenian's has a new owner and a new name, Conklin Bar. The change of ownership last year brought some questions about the future of the parade. Saturday night, the owners of Conklin Bar announced that the parade is set to return on Thursday.

The parade starts at 10:55AM on Thursday, March 17. Anyone may participate. The Catholic Central Marching Band will be in the parade.

Conklin Bar will open after the parade and feature live music, traditional Irish music and a lot of Guinness.
