It's far too cloudy in the skies across West Michigan to get a good look at tonight's rare supermoon eclipse, but thanks to NASA, West Michiganders will still be able to see it.

NASA will be providing a livestream of the eclipse on their website.

For the first time in more than 30 years, a supermoon will occur in conjunction with a lunar eclipse.

You can watch NASA’s live stream from 8:00 p.m. until at least 11:30 p.m. EDT broadcast from Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., with a live feed from the Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles, Calif.

The live feed from NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center will offer views of the eclipse from the Griffith Observatory, the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, Fernbank Observatory in Atlanta and other locations across the United States. The live feed is an alternative for people like us in West Michigan who have less-than-optimal weather or light-polluted night skies.

If you miss it, you’ll have to wait to see something like it again -- the next supermoon eclipse won’t be happening until 2033.
