Chris Cornell’s Solo Album Includes John Lennon, Led Zeppelin Covers
Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has been on a solo kick as of late, embarking on a solo acoustic tour earlier this year. The musician plans on releasing an album in the same style entitled Songbook, due out November 21. The record will include songs from every band Cornell has been in, which of course includes Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog.
Songbook will include covers of the John Lennon classic “Imagine” and Zeppelin’s “Thank You”. Two original songs will also be featured on the disc, “Cleaning My Gun” and “The Keeper”. Watch the video for “The Keeper” below.
GRD welcomes Chris Cornell to the State Theatre in Kalamazoo on December 6. Tickets start at $39 and are on sale at the State Theatre box office and Ticketmaster.com.
