It looks like "Star Wars" director George Lucas could have his own museum, and it won't be located in a galaxy far, far away.

The Chicago City Council has officially approved George Lucas' plans to build the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art along the Chicago lakefront. Last week, a zoning committee recommended approval of the potential museum's plans, and on Wednesday, Chicago aldermen took up the matter without discussion.

Although local non-profit group Friends of the Parks is suing the Chicago Park District over the matter, arguing that the museum would be built on reclaimed land that was formerly Lake Michigan, it appears that construction on the museum could start as early as this spring.

The museum could be open as soon as 2019, giving fans plenty of time to gear up for what will surely be a massively popular Chicago attraction.
