We've all experienced it. Someone gets a guitar for Christmas, or they borrow a friend's, and they're immediately talking about their new band, telling you about the riffs they're learning, and trying to sell you tickets to a show, or a battle of the bands.

Hey, I'm all for people learning to play music. I love it, and think everyone could benefit from learning an instrument. But I try to not assault people with the new song I learned, or the songs I wrote.

I will try to get you to go to a show, if I have one booked, though.
