"Battle Creek" is a cop drama from the creator of "Breaking Bad" and takes place in Battle Creek.

An early review reveals drama surrounding stolen maple syrup and a mascot killed at the Cereal Festival.

"Battle Creek" will bring many of the same storylines and crimes familiar to other cop shows. It will also bring humor and quirky characters.

CBS describes "Battle Creek" as "a drama about two mismatched law enforcement officers whose polar opposite views of the world and crime-solving breed frustration, disdain, humor and possibly a grudging respect as they team together to clean up the hard-scrabble streets of Battle Creek, Michigan."

"Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan first began working on the show 12 years ago. Gilligan is not involved in day-to-day operations of "Battle Creek". He is instead working on the "Breaking Bad" prequel "Better Call Saul". Executive producer David Shore says Gilligan's influence can still be seen on "Battle Creek."

The show stars Josh Duhamel as Special Agent Milt Chamberlain and Dean Winters as Det. Russ Agnew.

"Battle Creek" will premiere on March 1 and air Sundays at 10 p.m.
