A new study confirms what many have suspected... Grand Rapids is ripe with hipsters. The Grand Rapids Business Journal reports that analytic and marketing service provider Infogroup ranks Grand Rapids No. 5 in its "The Top 10 Most Hipster U.S. Metro Areas" list.

Man, financial website, Wallethub, has it out for Michigan or something. First they rank us as the fifth worst state for a summer road trip (Excuse me? Have they not heard of the miles of gorgeous coastline along the amazing Great Lakes? Sleeping Bear Dunes? The Mackinac Bridge?) --  and now they are saying Michigan comes in as only the 42nd most patriotic state in the U.S. What?

Michigan has a lot to boast about: great beer, beaches, food-- and pretty awesome downtowns! Two cities in Michigan are in the running for "Best Main Street" in America in a USA Today and 10 Best readers' poll.
