Hey everyone, I am pleased to announce that WGRD is hosting a free public 50 man Ventrilo server. Come join me (Steve the web guy) and WGRD listeners for all sorts of gaming shenanigans. We mainly play League of Legends, but you can use the servers for anything you want. We just want WGRD listeners to hang out, play some games, and kick some random noobs ass. I was so excited for this game! I have been a fan of Resident Evil for years. Ever since the first game came out, I watched my brother play it from beginning to end. Then I finally figured out how to play the game, and then my love for the series began. Resident Evil 1,2,3,4, Code Veronica, are all amazing games! Then the spin-offs began...and RE: Operation Raccoon City came around, with some really mixed reviews, some good...most bad.
Where did it all begin? The Arcades. Those large dark rooms with kids, mom's, dad's, businessmen, were pumping quarters into large machines so they could get the highest of high scores on that game. Arcade's are not as popular as they used to be, but they are still fun to go too. Chances are though, if you stumble into any arcade or fun center, you will find a Ms. Pac-Man machine somewhere in there.
I am a huge Gears of War fan. I have been playing this game series ever since the first Gears of War was available. It has impressed me with it's good story telling, awesome 3rd person perspective, and even the ability to make me 'feel' for the characters. Gears of War has pulled a 'Star Wars,' and has now delved into the prequel world with Gears of War: Judgement.
April is looking to be a scantily clad month for new video game releases. It seems like our wallets will be given a bit of a breather after March's raid on our savings. But, even though April looks to be sparse, that doesn't mean there isn't a reason to get a little excited for some new releases

Final Fantasy...what else is there to say? This series has been around what seems like forever. It has it's highs, and it's lows...most of those in my opinion is anything beyond Final Fantasy 10. Anyway, the Final Fantasy's on the PSX were amazing games! FF VII broke the mold, and FF IX was an amazing throwback to the old stylings. FF VIII though, is considered the 'black sheep' of that era. I think otherwise though...
Rumors were circulating earlier this week that Firebrand Games has been working on a movie tie-in game for the Fast & Furious franchise and Activision. Well, according to this EB Games listing in Australia, it appears that rumor is true.

Xi3, the makers of the Piston mini-computer, have issued a response to Valve’s recent public statement distancing themselves from the company. CEO of Xi3, Jason A. Sullivan, says that the piston will be something more than Valve’s Steam Box and that Xi3’s vision is contrary to Valve’s as they wish to offer compatibility for several gaming platforms.
