Many games have attempted to scare you, such as Resident Evil, Alone in the Dark, Night Trap, etc. They did a pretty good job at it, but nothing is quite as terrifying as Silent Hill.

The 'Blue Dude With 'Tude' was in his prime back in the 90's! It was a constant battle on who was the better mascot. Mario or Sonic? Here in America, we loved Sonic! He was fast, cool, and had attitude (everything in the 90's was about attitude...don't ask me, it's just how it was). Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was a typical pack-in game that came with your Genesis, and for many, was the first Genesis game you played.

There is a lot of 'Shovelware' on Nintendo Wii. Games like Game Party, Chicken Blaster, etc. Wii's game library is about 89% crap. There is however, a few diamonds in the rough when it comes to Nintendo's motion based console. After years of fan demand, to have this game brought over from Japan, we got our wish. Our efforts were definitely rewarded with this game.

We don't normally talk highly of Ohio State here at WGRD, but this is too good to pass up.  The Ohio State marching band did a tribute to video games during their halftime show this weekend.  The band played video game theme songs while marching in formations that depicted the games.  Some of the games that the band featured were Zelda, Halo, Pokemon, Tetris, and Super Mario Brothers.

Growing up in the 90's was pretty awesome. We had some great video games and some pretty damn good television. TV today is plagued with a ton of reality shows. Some good, most bad. MTV back in the 90's though, defined a generation of music and produced programming that was not meant for the young audience. This is where we got 2 bungholes that defined a generation, known as Beavis and Butt-Head. Even though they are entirely stupid, they made 2 pretty good games.

There was a lot of good racing games out there for the Nintendo 64. Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Micro Machines, etc. Racing games were everywhere during the era of Nintendo 64 and Playstation. Kind of like what we see with First Person Shooters today...they are just everywhere. This game though brought me into the world of 3D racing!
