Everyone's favorite summer craft beer festival, America on Tap, returns to John Ball Park this Saturday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.! So, what kinds of things can you look forward to at America on Tap? Here are five of them.

A whole day dedicated to the awesomeness of beer? I'll drink to that! It might sound like a made up holiday, but today (April 7) is National Beer Day!

Grand Rapids is an epicenter of craft brewing as evidenced by its status as Beer City USA. In embracing the excellent craft beer craftsmanship found in greater Grand Rapids and West Michigan, 97.9 WGRD is highlight some of the best local brews with its WGRD Beers of the Month.

This past weekend I withstood frigid temperatures, numb fingers, and port-o-potties with ice clinging to the seats, all in the name of craft beer. I know, I'm such a trooper. To tide myself over until WGRD's Summer Craft Beer Festival, which is now called America On Tap, I went to the Winter Beer Festival at Fifth Third Ballpark.

Today's Summer Craft Beer Fest was a huge success, thanks to all of you that came out and had a great time with us!  Thank you! Lots of amazing beers, great food, live music…the Summer Craft Beer Fest had it all!  And, we were in a really nice place, John Ball Park, so it was a really nice place to hang and have some beers with friends!

John Ball Park was the venue and craft beers were the main course Saturday. The fourth annual Summer Craft Beer Festival poured, played, entertained and fed hundreds from across Grand Rapids, West Michigan and beyond on a summery afternoon and early evening with sunshine and temperatures creeping into the low 80s.

Today, I got to sample some amazing beers at Pike 51 Brewing Company in Hudsonville.  They're part of our 2014 Summer Craft Beer Fest, happening this Saturday at John Ball Park. If you haven't tried their brews, you owe it to yourself to stop by and do so.  They're very smooth beers, and don't assault you when you drink them, even the ones with higher alcohol content!  I really like how smooth the

Summer Craft Beer Festival is this Saturday! We have over 100 different types of beers being sampled at the event, and chances of sampling them all are pretty slim. I decided to go sample one of the breweries that will be there in advance, and that brewery is White Flame Brewing Co. in Hudsonville!

Not only great brews and great food, but great tunes as well are on tap for the Summer Craft Beer Festival on July 19 at John Ball Park in Grand Rapids.
