May 23, 2011 Saturday night's Rock On The Range headliner Avenged Sevenfold certainly did not disappoint when they possessed the main stage. Led by lead singer M. Shadows' ferocious vocals, A7X took the Columbus, OH crowd through a brutal journey that both continued to pay tribute to their fallen brother, original drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, and help the band go forward. Springfield, Mass rock veterans Staind have revealed the title to their upcoming seventh studio album. The name of the record was probably a subject that the band spent a lot of time trying to decide. However, you might not get that impression once you find out the name of the new album is....Seven. Nothing wrong with keeping it simple and to the point. Frontman Aaron Lewis and guitarist Mike Mushok stopped by the GRD table at Rock On The Range to talk about the upcoming disc.

This was the first time I have seen them outside of Michigan and the crowd response was just as raucous as any Grand Rapids show. Legendary wrestler 'Macho Man' Randy Savage died today in a car accident in Tampa, Florida, reports TMZ. He was 58.
Savage's brother, Lanny Poffo, said he passed away after he lost control of his car when he had a heart attack shortly before 9:30AM. The Florida Highway Patrol says Savage drove across a concrete median and into oncoming traffic before he hit a tree.

That might be a good idea since Guns N' Roses' last album, Chinese Democracy, took 15 years to make. It could take up to 50 years for the band to release three records.
