Car Crashes into Coca-Cola Plant in Grand Rapids, Causes Gas Leak

Police are investigating a car accident at the Coca-Cola plant on Grand Rapids' West Side near John Ball Zoo Thursday morning.

WZZM-13 reports that a car crashed into the plant on Butterworth Street SW around 7:15a.m. 

DTE crews were called to take care of a gas leak caused by the crash.

Butterworth Street was closed between Wealthy and John Ball Drive while emergency crews were on the scene.

Police say three people were inside the building at the time of the crash. No one was hurt.

The cause of the crash is unknown as is the condition of the driver at this time.
