Calvin College Ties for No. 1 School in Midwest
As a proud graduate of Calvin College, this makes me, well, proud!
Calvin has tied for No. 1 Regional College in the Midwest by in the 2017 U.S. News & World Report's Best Colleges Guidebook.
WZZM-13 reports that Calvin is the only Michigan higher education institution to earn this rank in this category.
The other No. 1 spot went to Taylor University in Upland Indiana.
In explaining its methodology, U.S. News and World Report says schools are ranked according to their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence such as first-year student retention and graduation rates and the strength of the faculty
Calvin also ranked No. 1 in Best Undergraduate Teaching and Best Colleges for Veterans.
