BUILD YOUR OWN BOBSLED DOUBLE JJ RESORT 2011

Build Your Own Bobsled will be held at the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury on Saturday, February 26th. Registration for teams will begin at 12pm, with the youth race (ages 12 & under) taking place at 5pm & the adult race (ages 13 & up) at 7pm.

This event is free for teams, and the public is welcome to come and see the show! Double JJ Resort will be accepting paper goods (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) for donation to Word of Life Food Distribution Center of Rothbury, MI.

There will be a cash bar, refreshments, and food available. This event is brought to you by WGRD, Bud Light, & the Double JJ Resort, with WGRD MC’ing the evening. Be sure to stay afterwards to enjoy DJ, dancing, wacky contests, and great giveaways!

Bobsled Rules

- Your bobsled may be constructed of TAPE and CARDBOARD only.

- You may have up to 5 people on your bobsled team.

- You may race as an individual

- You may decorate your bobsled in any way you like, but keep in mind that the Double JJ is a family resort so nothing obscene will be allowed. But if you have a business you would like to advertise, or a cause you would like to champion, do it up!! There will be a prize for best decorated bobsled.

- Your bobsled will be judged on a number of things, and prizes will be given out in different categories.

Prize categories:

Youth Categories: Best Time & Best Design

Adult Categories:

- Best team

- Best individual

- Fan Favorite, so bring your friends to vote for you!!

- Best time, all runs will be timed

- Best design. As judged by our blue ribbon panel of judges.

- Best Local Business Team (Winning sled will be on display at the Double JJ Resort for 2011 season)
