Boyne Highlands Ski Resort was damaged by fire on Sunday. The resort has announced they are set to reopen the slopes on Friday.

The resort’s Main Lodge hotel was damaged by fire on December 11th. Twelve people were injured in the fire which is being called suspicious.

Freep.com reports, "one lead they are following is that a guest set fire to his room and then stole the extinguishers before fleeing."

Repair work will continue on the resorts as the slopes open at 9am on Friday, December 17.
