After a few reunion shows, Blur are ready to get together again this year.  According to drummer Dave Rowntree, nothing is concrete but the members are in touch.

As for new Blur material, Rowntree says that is something that’s still up in the air.

"We’re in touch," Rowntree told NME.  "But we've got nothing concrete and nothing formalized about doing anything."

Last November frontman Damon Albarn said that Blur were going to reconvene in January but apparently those plans are still up in the air.  At least they're still talking.  There were also rumors that Blur would be hitting the U.K. festivals this year but Rowntree says it's high unlikely.

"You can’t really play the festivals or try and get a big tour together until you release something," he said.
