Blink-182, My Chemical Romance to Headline 2011 Honda Civic Tour

Pop punk vets Blink-182 are going on a road trip with My Chemical Romance as the two bands will co-headline this year's edition of the Honda Civic Tour. The massive 40+-date trek will run August 5-October 15.

The Honda Civic Tour will kick off in Homdel, NJ and end in San Diego, CA. Manchester Orchestra, Rancid and Matt & Kim will open on select dates. The closest the tour will be around here is August 20 in Chicago at the First Midwest Bank Pavilion with Manchester Orchestra, and September 11 at the DTE Energy Music Theatre with Matt & Kim.

According to MTV, Blink and My Chem fan club members get first crack at buying pre-sale tickets starting June 6. Those who "Like" the Honda Civic Tour Facebook fan page June 8 also receives an opportunity to buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public on June 10.

2011 marks the 10th installment of the Honda Civic Tour, which Blink-182 kicked off the inaugural event in 2001. Watch the trio make the announcement below.
