Washington hardcore band Black Breath recently went through a serious scare after drummer Jamie Byrum was hit by a car on Jan. 7. The stickman suffered multiple breaks in his leg, and after undergoing surgery, Byrum is currently healing up at home.

If you've never checked out Black Breath, you're definitely missing out. The group has been blending hardcore with lots of different metal elements since 2006, releasing one EP and two full-length albums during their career.

Black Breath posted about Byrum's accident via their Facebook page on Jan. 8:

The next day, Black Breath offered an update on Byrum's condition:

Yet another update was shared with Black Breath's Facebook fans late last night (Jan. 15):

Get well soon, Jamie. Hopefully you'll be back behind the kit sooner than later. Check out Black Breath's 'Home of the Grave' below.
