If you have ever wanted to learn to hunt Michigan Black Bears, the Department of Natural Resources is now offering clinics on Black Bear Hunting.

According to WOOD TV, there will be clinics scheduled by the Michigan DNR on Sunday July 29th, Sunday August 5th and Saturday August 11th that will be held at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center that is located in Cadillac.

You will be able to gain knowledge from experienced hunters. DNR educators will be on hand to discuss bear hunting basics. You will learn about baiting, carcass care, gear, habitat, hide care, rules, regulations and stand placement.

There is a fee of $30 to cover event costs that will include a lunch. Plus, the Michigan Bear Hunters Association will be donating some door prizes to add a little more fun to the event.

The Department of Natural Resources has a service called Outdoor Skills Academy. The academy offers a wide range of outdoor activities and locations. Plus gear tips and hands on learning.

Other clinics that will be coming in the future will be archery, bird photography, hiking, downhill skiing and snowboarding.
