It's that time again! Avenged Sevenfold have turned The Stage into an evolving album where fans can expect to hear new pieces of music from the band seemingly at any time. Next up in their string of cover songs is the title cut to Pink Floyd's ninth studio album, Wish You Were Here.

The black and white video starts off showing Avenged in the studio as Synyster Gates strums along on the airy guitar lick while singing backing vocals through a thick layer of effects. The band laughs and then the true beginning of the song comes in as the group utilizes a 12 string guitar for those rich chords. M. Shadows opts to sing in a subdued yet still emotive and powerful style, making it his own as he deviates from the standard hushed vocal style of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour.

"This is the song that started us down the rabbit hole with our recent cover recordings. I’ve always loved this song and though I felt it would be impossible to capture the somberness of the original, we approached it with another purpose. There’s a poignancy to the song that seems appropriate with everything going on in the world today. We put a bit of a modern twist on it to reintroduce it at a time when it might help capture what some of us are feeling," said M. Shadows.

On Dec. 15, Avenged will release a deluxe reissue of The Stage, which will include seven studio tracks and four lives offerings. The studio cuts are "Wish You Were Here," the Mexican folk song “Malagueña Salerosa,” Mr. Bungle’s “Retrovertigo,” Del Shannon’s “Runaway” which featured Zacky Vengeance on lead vocals, The Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows," "Tears Go By" from the Rolling Stones and an original song "Dose." The live tracks, “The Stage,” “Paradigm,” “Sunny Disposition” and “God Damn," are culled from the band's London performance at The O2 arena.
