Authorities Identify Teens Believed to Have Drowned in Lake Michigan at Holland State Park
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department has identified two teenagers believed to have drowned in Lake Michigan Wednesday night ,Wood TV 8 reports.
17-year-old Christopher Mimis and 14-year-old Vincent Green had been swimming near the outer edge of the swim area at Holland State Park at around 8p.m. with two other teens when they were caught in a current.
Two of the teens were able to get out of the water, but Mimis and Green went under, police say.
The surviving teens are a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old who is Green's brother.
The US Coast Guard continues to search for Mimis and Green Thursday morning, but the search has now been deemed a recovery effort.
